Use a simple FTP program to administer the files between your PC and a server.

Alternate FTP is a simple FTP program with which you can access all the files in your server, and administer the data found there. Via a simple interface in the application it will be much easier to create folders, rename them and even delete them.

It's also possible to see, in the same screen, both the files found in your PC and those on the remote server, so that it's easier to make transfers between them without having to constantly enter and leave each location.
